Jan. 9th, 2012 06:47 amTook the last one of my antibiotic tablets yesterday, but I'm not sure the 'scrip will be quite enough to completely get rid of my sinus infection, I still have some pressure & drainage, though at least I can lie down & actually get a restful sleep now without being woken up a few minutes later coughing so hard my chest & belly hurt. Have to ask the doctor, I guess.
Meanwhile, celebrated Samuel's 10th birthday Sat. Sad to say that I spent all I can afford on Xmas presents for my brothers' kids, but till I'm well enough, & Mom is well enough, for me to have a whole day for my business, without worrying about Mom, I need to be cautious with my money.
Am gradually recovering the files that were destroyed when the damn virus got into my PC a couple days before Xmas & I had to do a complete system restore. What burns me even worse is that the sneaky little monster apparently made a couple of my backup discs unusable--I guess the occasional little glitches I thought were because the mouse was wearing out (I use my PC, Jeff uses it, Samuel uses it--mice get used around here) were the virus munching through my operating system like syphilis on brain tissue. Should be grateful though that it was only a couple of discs, & I had older versions of the files on others. Bit of work to restore the files to the most recent state, though, & to be honest, between being listless from being ill & spacey from the over-the-counter meds, I'm not putting much effort into the work. Mostly, I do a little work on the files, then play freecell or spider solitaire while listening to fan podcasts.
Well, enough of my woes. Later.
